About the Course

Dancer’s Body Care is designed to help dancers manage pain, recover muscles, and prevent injuries, while cultivating mental focus and emotional resilience. This class blends ancient healing techniques with modern mind-body practices to sustain long-term performance.

Students will explore:

  • Guasha – improves circulation, reduces inflammation, and releases muscular stiffness.

  • Acupressure & Miracle Points – gentle stimulation that supports natural pain relief and energetic balance.

  • Brushing Methods – activates the lymphatic system, promotes detox, and awakens body awareness.

  • Mindfulness Practices – breathing and grounding techniques to regulate stress and sharpen concentration.

  • NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) – practical tools to reframe thoughts, boost self-confidence, and strengthen motivation.

By combining these methods, the class offers dancers a comprehensive body care system that accelerates recovery, supports flexibility, and helps maintain harmony between body, mind, and spirit.

Your Instructor

Marcia Delgado

Márcia Delgado is a global dance mentor and therapist who integrates classical ballet expertise (Vaganova, Cuban, RAD) with healing arts and Chinese medicine practices.
During her years in Beijing, she deepened her studies at Dancewudao, a renowned dance and wellness center that housed a traditional Chinese medicine spa where many dancers received body therapies. There, she was introduced to advanced recovery methods and experienced firsthand how ancient Eastern healing could restore the dancer’s body after intense physical training.
Trained in Guasha, acupressure, mindfulness, positive psychology, CBT, and NLP, Márcia has since applied these principles to her holistic teaching. She has guided both young talents and professional dancers from the Bolshoi School and international companies.
Her integrative vision focuses on injury prevention, pain management, and body-mind harmony, ensuring that dancers achieve peak performance while preserving long-term health and artistic vitality.
