"Always Searching for Inspiration"
New Era Dancers at Municipal Theatre of Rio de Janeiro
Since 2023, New Era Dancers has been active in the Dance Residency Program at Teatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro, where Márcia Delgado brings together Classical Ballet training, Chinese Classical Dance techniques, and body therapies applied within professional dance classes.
Alongside this work, we have created performances with original choreographies by Márcia Delgado, with the generous support of Teatro Municipal. These productions explore the fusion of tradition and innovation, highlighting the healing dimension of dance.
This residency has also been a fertile space for research, where techniques such as breathing practices, somatic awareness, and integrative therapies were introduced to accelerate dancers’ evolution — both technically and artistically.
Through this experience, New Era Dancers continues to affirm its mission: to expand the possibilities of dance as art, science, and transformation.
